El otro día por Twitter gracias a Cristina, del magnífico blog Art&Life me acordé de la película "Zoolander". Dirigida y protagonizada por Ben Stiller (sí, el de Noche en el Museo), loa película es una parodia loca del mundo de los modelos.
Dereck Zoolander es un modelo super cotizado e hiper famoso, pero también un pelín limitado en cuanto a sus capacidades intelectuales, vamos, es un poco tonto. Dereck lo está pasando fatal ante la creciente competencia de Hansel (Owen Wilson), otro modelo cada vez más famoso y más demandado por las grandes firmas de moda. La competencia entre ellos es cada vez mayor y hasta David Bowie, el de verdad!, tiene que tomar cartas en el asunto:
The other day thanks to Cristina, from the magnificent Art & Life blog, reminded me in Twitter of the movie "Zoolander". Directed by and starring Ben Stiller (yes, the same actor from Night at the Museum), the movie is a parody of the crazy world of models.
Derek Zoolander is a super model and hyper quoted famous, but also a bit silly. Derek is facing a growing competition from Hansel (Owen Wilson), another model increasingly popular and more demanded by the big names in fashion. Competition between them is growing, and even David Bowie, indeed!, has to take action on the matter:
Sin embargo, y ante los terribles descubrimientos que hace una periodista, Zoolander y Hansel deberán unir sus fuerzas para acabar con un plan malvado que amenaza no sólo a los modelos y la moda, sino al mundo entero!
La película es tronchante. Hacen humor del mundo de la moda con corazón. Se ríen de los modelos y sus poses, pero a la vez son los extraños superhéroes que salvan al mundo de una conspiración fatal. Hay cantidad de escenas imposibles, el ritmo es muy ágil y hay muchos rostros conocidos con ganas de pasárselo bien.

The film is hilarious. They laugh at the world of fashion with a heart. They laugh at the models and their poses, but also are turn them into superheroes saving the world from a fatal conspiracy. There are plenty of impossible scenes, the pace is very fast and there are many familiar faces wanting to have fun.
